Antique Teddy Bear, straw or excelsior stuffed, fully jointed, mohair. I believe this to be an Ideal Co. teddy bear from the early 1900's. He is a very light beige or white mohair that has very little worn areas. He has black shoe button eyes, an upturned head, hand stitched nost, mouth, fingers and toes in black. Shaved muzzle under the stitching. I believe his paw pads are replaced because this is a very well done job in a burlap tan material. It looks like he has had minor surgery around his nose and mouth. He is very unique and full of charm. He wears a vintage creamy white vest with black buttons. He has a metal antique button hat has a lighthouse and beach on it with Porland Bill. His name is Billy Bear and he has lots more love left to give. Perfect for a bear collector. He measures almost 16 inches tall and almost 12 inches wide at the arms. Precious antique teddy bear.
